Samsung Instinct tricks – Alarm Clock

Just found a way to make alarm work during airplane mode:
1) Display must be set to either:
       a)"Dim: Never Dim" or
b)"Any of the other Dim options combined with "Off: Lock Key Only"
2) Set phone to Airplane mode: ">Settings >General >Airplane Mode=On
note: clock will disappear from screen, but its still-a-tickin
3) Set alarm time: ">Main >Clock >Alarm"
4) DO NOT SCREEN LOCK  note: if you lock screen, your alarm will not sound until you unlock your screen (kinda defeats the purpose of setting the alarm, hunh?)
5) Connect to charger, slide Instinct into holder and get some zzzzzzzzzz’s.  Your Instinct will awake you at your set time. Samsung Instinct
not the ideal way to do it, but it works Samsung Cell Phone tips & tricks

Samsung Instinct Tips – Copying iTunes Music

Ok, so it took me awhile to figure this out. Hopefully, it will save someone else.
1. To copy music from iTunes it cannot have DRM so remove it if it has any. (Buy from iTunes Plus, use Tunebite.)
2. Use iTunes to convert the song to MP3 (or set it to do that in Tunebite).
3. Drag and drop to the Music folder in the root of the memory stick.

Samsung Instinct Email Tips

I had similar problems with email, sometimes it worked sometimes it did not and restarting the Samsung Instinct let me access my comcast mail at least once without problem, but who soon after start having problems. Same for my gmail email too. Samsung Cell Phone tips & tricks

I don’t know if this will work for everyone but I was at the sprint store a few days ago getting a travel charger for the phone and I noticed the sprint sales rep had a Samsung instinct and told him about my email problem. He said yeah like 7 out of 10 Samsung instinct owners are bringing there phone in because of this. Samsung Instinct

He said just pop the battery out, put it back in, start phone and your readly to go. I thought this would be yet another BS fix. So ( I did not shut the phone off first ) I popped my battery out and restarted the phone. Now for 3 days and probably 100 plus emails later not a single problem. Once in a while it’s a little slow, maybe 7-10 seconds to cycle through the send/recieve process. Don’t know why popping the battery out would do anything but it worked for me.

So if you are sure you have your email settings right tried what i did. I hope it works and sorry if this has been posted. I’ve seen to many threads on to many forums about the email in the last week to keep track.

Also Nice board to whoever owns it. Only one I signed up on.

Also Comcast users make sure you look up how to config the Samsung instincts settings. The default settinfs for Other POP do not work.

Good luck and hope this helps to anyone still having problems.
