Samsung M6710 Hands-on
Today, Samsung Electronics gave us a few minutes to spend with the Samsung M6710 BEAT DISC touchscreen slider phone. The music and video multimedia device features Bang & Olufsen audio technology, and advanced music features that allow for finding, purchasing, and recommending music. Samsung M6710 with a vivid 2.6-inch QWVGA (240×500 pixels) TFT touchscreen display, a 3 megapixel camera, and a microSD external memory card slot for external memory, the device could be a great choice for music lovers.

The Samsung M6710 BEAT DISC is a bit of a strange device from what we experienced. It shares many of the features of the BEAT DJ, but has one of the worst navigation controls that we have come across. The touch sensitive surface extends beyond the bottom of the display and is used for a scrolling type function that was neither intuitive nor particularly effective. The slide out keypad, while pretty flat, did seem to work well enough, though.
