Q: If you knew how to change the settings so that when the phone rings (or when you get a text message) the ringer/alert starts out loud instead of starting out low and then getting louder? Samsung Cell Phone tips & tricks

A: Go to Menu>Settings>Sound Profiles> Tap "Normal" (not the box w/the circle inside but tap the word itself), something should apear (Call,Message,Phone Tone Settings) now tap the "Call alert type" and then choose "Increasing melody" or "Vib. & increasing melody" that should solve your problem.  Samsung Memoir

I have had the Samsung Memoir for a few days now on AT&T network and for the first day my internet would not work. I got frustrated and aggravated then thought there has to be away. After searching for the better part of 6 hours on Google i found a a mysterious little code that said it was for the admin settings. So here is my little write up on it for anyone else that is on or will be on AT&T and couldn’t figure it out like me.

1. go to the dial pad and press *#6894125*#
2. tap on network & call settings
3. tap on connections
4. tap on browser
      set name = browser
      access name = wap.cingular
      auth type = none
      user id = *leave it blank*
      password = *leave it blank"
      protocol = HTTP
      Home Url = what ever you want your home page to be
      proxy address = wireless.cingular.com:80
      linger time (sec) = 300
5. tap on save and press the back button all the way out

There are other settings that can be changed in the admin settings that can and will make your Samsung Memoir phone not work so use at your own risk if you plan to go snooping around to see what else is in there.
