There is a way to use the Samsung Instinct as modem……

Very simple… First, you need your MSL number as usual to get into the DEBUG menu and modify the NAI to off as mentioned in alot of posts. Search for it.

The ##872# does not work. Yes, we know. You do not need this due to the only thing that did was toggle the Samsung Instinct between USB data storage and USB Modem…..without removing the SD card.

I have had the Samsung Instinct since late June so I have had plenty of time with it. I like some of it’s cool features like it’s voice command and navigation, but there is so much wrong with this phone’s software (browser, TV, etc.) and even it’s hardware (lack of Wi-Fi, processing power, etc.).

The Samsung instinct cannot yet view .xls, .ppt, .pdf, etc.. but it can handle .doc. If you receive it as an attachment in your email, download it to your phone and then go to browse files on the Samsung instinct (to get to this menu tap the mail icon in the upper left, I use Gmail so I have a G symbol). You will then be able to view it.

I was having technical issue with my Samsung Instinct, so Sprint sent me a brand new one.
I had it re-programmed today. Everything works much better now, But I noticed the color/contract seems different than my original one.
