Step by step instructions how to get the Samsung Glyde wallpapers. Samsung Cell Phone software

1) Go to the “Wallpapers” section.
2) Go to one of the Samsung Glyde wallpapers categories.
3) Click see the wallpaper you like, click on the thumbnail for the enlarged version.
4) Right click on the image, and use “Save As”, save it to your desktop.
5) If you are on verizon wireless network, easiest thing to do is to send yourself an email with the wallpapers as attachment to “yournumber@vzwpix.com“
6) in about 1-2 minutes, you will receive a TXT message with the wallpaper, then there’s an option to “Set it as wallpaper“ Samsung Glyde

Note: if you don’t want to use the email option, you can always use Bitpim, a free software that allows you to drag and drop the wallpapers to your Samsung Glyde.

Samsung Glyde – Connect to the Computer

What you need: a cd driver, a usb cable - Samsung Glyde

Now you can sync your Samsung Glyde up to Windows Media Player to upload songs and it should also allow you to put wallpaper on your sd card.

You can also download the VCAST music manager of the cd and use that to sync the music to your Samsung Glyde.

The Samsung Glyde’s keyboard takes a little getting used to, it only has three rows so you have to hit function to use the numbers. I got used to it in a day. Samsung Glyde

The touch screen in a bit tricky, but not so bad that you want to throw your phone. Hopefully a firmware update will take care of that.

Other than that, the Samsung Glyde is great. All phones take some getting used to.

Samsung Glyde – Format your microSD Card

When you put the card in your Samsung Glyde, dont forget to format it. Goto: Settings & Tools > #9 Memory > #3 card memory > options > format card.

After that set it up so everything goes to card by: Settings & Tools > #9 Memory > #1 save options > then set all for card. you should see 3 folders after when in computer: My_flix, my_pics, & my_music. Samsung Glyde

Samsung Glyde – BK14 Update

For Your Information: I called Verizon Wireless and verified. The new update is called BK14 and it is coming out on Dec. 30th 2008, it hasn’t hit stores yet. Verizon Wireless states that it will be in stores in two weeks.

That was my fourth call to Verizon about this update. Do not be doubtful of me when I simply stated what Verizon told me. Enjoy!!!!

Samsung Glyde Software version U940 – BF25

I got my Samsung Glyde upgraded today. Software version U940 – BF25, I told the technician that I heard he had a software upgrade that MIGHT keep me from throwing this phone against a brick wall. I went through my unlock unlock unlock … answer answer answer…. turn speaker off! turn speaker off! turn speaker off! frustrations and he said I should do a commercial! Samsung Glyde

Anyway – my initial reaction was that the Samsung Glyde Software version U940 – BF25 was 100% improved, but then later on I tried to press the ‘dial’ button and I got a list that started with ‘speaker off’ I kept going back multiple times, but each time I pressed the ‘dial’ button it took me to this list. I finally waited a while and then it started working OK. I called customer support and explained my frustration. He seemed surprised. Samsung Cell Phone software

But then he said if I turned the phone off and back on it should be OK. He also said I should charge it with the phone turned off. That’s not an option for me as I’m on call 24/7 for work.
